Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy
Equal opportunity refers to the fundamental principle of ensuring that every individual, regardless of their personal or social circumstances, has the same opportunities and ability to achieve success and advancement. Inclusion, meanwhile, is an active commitment to creating a workplace and community in which everyone feels welcomed and respected and is able to participate fully and meaningfully in different contexts.
In journalism, these concepts are particularly important, as diversity and inclusion are integral to free and fair journalism, especially in conflict-affected settings. In this context, Women Who Won the War establishes this Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy as a central component of its professional framework.
