Female journalists fighting for women... all women!
"Women Who Won the War" is an independent media platform and a supportive community of Arabic-speaking female journalists in Syria, the Middle East, and North Africa.We work with and for female journalists, to be a platform for in-depth investigative journalism, supported by the values of democracy, justice, freedom, and equity. We focus on quality journalism and strive to amplify the voices of women in conflict, post-conflict, and critical contexts.
"Women Who Won the War" team relies on grants it receives from development agencies, international organizations, and charitable foundations interested in freedom of media and thought in the region for its funding. Team members do not receive fixed salaries, and they work at "Women Who Won the War" alongside their work as freelance journalists.
