She participated in the digital coverage of the 17th Areej Forum for Investigative Journalism.
She has also served as a Communications and Public Relations Officer, designing institutional communication strategies and digital marketing for Syrian commercial organizations. Additionally, she writes for outlets such as Khatira and Raseef22, covering topics on human rights, marginalized communities, and politics.

Haneen El-Sayed

A Syrian independent journalist, Haneen Al-Sayed has covered the war in northern Syria for 14 years and worked as a field correspondent for various local and regional organizations. Her reporting has focused on the Syrian conflict and its intersections with issues such as women, displaced populations, and the environment.
Haneen was shortlisted for the True Story Award 2025 for an investigative piece on the impact of drugs on women in northern Syria.
She is a graduate of the “Women in News” program and holds a diploma in journalism from the American University of Beirut. She also studied at the Media and Journalism Technology Institute at the International University for Science and Renaissance in Aleppo.

Her work has been published on prominent media platforms including VICE Arabia, the International Journalists' Network (IJNet), Raseef22, and others. In 2022, she was awarded the Best Science Report by the Goethe-Institut in Cairo.
She studied digital marketing at the American University in Cairo and has leveraged her extensive professional network to help organise and cover major regional and international conferences such as Bread&Net (SMEX), the ARIJ 16th Forum, and the Cairo Media Conference hosted by AUC.
She has participated in numerous training programs and fellowships with leading media organisations, including RNW Media, the Women in News program by WAN-IFRA, and CNN. Currently, she is the Innovation and Engagement Lead at Women Who Won the War, merging her media expertise with her advocacy for women’s rights.
